When you mention stewardship to most people, they immediately associate it with giving money. Although that is part of stewardship, it goes far beyond that. We should all think of ourselves as stewards, or caregivers, of the world God gave us to live in. That includes caring for all of God's creation including the environment and all the people, plants, and animals that share the earth. Because God gave people dominion over all of his creation, we should show our appreciation by doing everything we can to protect and preserve this gift. Stewardship can come from showing financial support to Our Savior Lutheran or a charitable cause we feel passionate about, giving of our time as a volunteer at the Church or in the community, helping a friend or neighbor when they need it, or doing our part to conserve resources and care for the environment. Regardless of what we do, we should all be thoughtful and caring stewards of God's creation.
