We begin at birth to encourage parents to start the nurture of faith in their children thru “Cradle Roll” A wonderful curriculum designed for parents of newborns to incorporate spiritual development into the life of their child(ren). You’ll receive monthly packets of material with ideas for nurturing faith for the next three years.
Childcare We encourage children in worship of all ages. If parents prefer, adequate childcare from birth to 4 years old is provided for the morning worship services from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
Class Descriptions We offer age appropriate classes beginning at age 3 to adult. All classes are from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
*3 year olds learn about the bible in the traditional Sunday school style.
*Pre-school ages 4 and 5 not in Kindergarten also learn about the bible in the traditional classroom.
*K–5th Grade, Workshop Rotation Model™. Children explore the stories of the people of God through drama, music, art, science, storytelling, science, computers, games, and movies. Each week children attend a different workshop and enter into the story in a creative way. For more information about the Workshop Rotation Model™ visit www.rotation.org .
*6th to 8th grades or Jr. High do a program similar to the Workshop Rotation Model. They have a curriculum that focuses on their studies for Confirmation class as well as learning other bible stories.
*9th to 12th grades or Sr. High work with an online program called Akaloo™ from Augsburg Fortress. This is an interactive online program in which kids can interact and do activities on the website to discuss and work out general problems and peer pressures that teenagers face today.
*Adult classes are also available. Currently we have two that are led by Pastor John Schelter and Nancy Bollman leads the other one. These ongoing classes study the bible going through each book in no particular order.
